Location: Bristol, Bradley Stoke – Accessible by bus routes and car via the M4 with car parking on site, 5 minute drive to large shopping centre with local amenities in walking distance.

Hours: minimum 16 hours up to 37.5 hours. Include evenings, weekends (night shifts as optional) - to be discussed at interview

Contract type: Permanent, Hybrid

Salary: Starting from £34,600.00 (FTE) dependant on experience

Closing date: 7th June 2023 (midnight GMT). Interviews may take place before this date for exceptional candidates.

This is a hybrid role where the successful candidate will be expected to be onsite for up to 12 weeks whilst training. Once passed probation they will be required to work in the Bristol office once a fortnight as a minimum. There is an expectation that you will work from home and come into the office as and when required / agreed in advance.

What is a Clinical Practitioner?

As a Clinical Practitioner is a Registered Nurse and / or Midwife who will support our clients with our 24-hour advice line and will be responsible for assessing them pre and post-treatment, advising on the next steps and referring them on to further care when appropriate. You will share our vision of making choice a reality for everyone. You must be pro-choice on abortion and an advocate of our mission ‘Your Body, Your Choice, Your Future’.

Working within an established, well-led and supportive team, you will be liaising and educating clients over the telephone predominantly focussing on their aftercare needs, aligning to our Pre-Existing Conditions guidelines. You will triage clients and liaise with clinics and external health professionals, to ensure the clients concerns are understood and providing a reassuring and empathetic clinical service.

As a Registered Nurse or Midwife, you will be provided with bespoke training, tailored to your role to equip you in assisting with safe and effective abortion and vasectomy aftercare to our clients. You can expect to work in a client-centred, hands-on, and fast-paced, dynamic environment where you will be encouraged and empowered to develop and strengthen your clinical and professional skills.

To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following skills and experience:

  • Confident and a basic understanding of Microsoft packages as a minimum
  • Able to prioritise own workload
  • Approachable
  • Able to triage clients over the phone (desirable)
