Contract type: Permanent, 37.5 hours

Salary: £20,900 (dependant on experience)

About the Role

A healthcare assistant plays a vital role within MSI UK by providing essential support and assistance in Termination of Pregnancy and Vasectomy Services, ensuring patients receive the highest standard of care. In this role, you would work under the direction of nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver care to clients in our centre.

Your responsibilities as a healthcare assistant would include assisting clients with their recovery, carrying out pre-treatment checks, providing support to clients having treatment alongside a Registered Nurse/Midwife and assisting the surgeon and anaesthetist where necessary.

You would need to be compassionate, patient, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients. A healthcare assistant role can be demanding and fast-paced, but it can also be incredibly rewarding as you make a positive impact to our clients.

About You

To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following skills:

  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment, respecting and collaborating with all individuals equally, and with a commitment to overcome bias and prejudice
  • Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with people of all levels
  • Good listening and communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to other centres with reasonable notice
  • Previous HCA experience (desirable)
